The inverse, color wise, applies when one is decorating their own personal space. However, a seller needs to depersonalize their home, creating a house that lures the buyer in, keeps them interested and wanting to see more.

These color choices are examples of how differently something can look online vs. in person. Unfortunately, the average buyer is most likely NOT going to be interested in going to see it in person! The less is more principal definitely applies when it comes to color and selling your home.
